about
"Quiet Road" is the third single released in advance of the Trapps' upcoming self-titled full-length. An ambient roots song with subtle Beatlesque harmony, "Quiet Road" conjures the strange and luminous late night drives that comprise well more than half of the job of the working musician.
The upcoming record--the band's third--combines live and studio material. It is due out in summer of 2020. Like the first two singles, "Without It" and "Grab It and Run, "Quiet Road" was recorded live in the band's hometown of New Paltz, New York.
Playing what Rolling Stone executive editor Jason Fine described as “rangy, experimental roots-rock,” The Trapps have built a loyal following in New York’s mid-Hudson valley and have been featured on bills with Tracy Bonham, Donna the Buffalo, Jack’s Mannequin, Rhett Miller, Assembly of Dust, and many more. They have performed at Mountain Jam and at Gathering of the Vibes. and have garnered attention nationally with two studio full lengths, Cheap Seats and Good Luck or Goodbye.
